Romsey Food Festival 2010

Romsey Food Festival will be held on Sunday the 1 August 2010 from 10am – 3pm.

A fantastic free day out for the whole family in the heart of the historic market town of Romsey.

The day will include:

Hampshire Farmers’ Market
Street Entertainment
Cookery Demonstrations
Tasting Sessions
Children’s Activities & Animal Farms
and a variety of stalls.

This event is being sponsored and supported by The Co-Operative, Hampshire Farmers Markets, The White Horse Hotel & Brasserie and Waitrose.

Aside from the Romsey Show and Romsey Town Carnival, there will be even more entertainment coming to Romsey in the form of the Romsey Beggars Fair! This event is taking place on Friday 9th July and Saturday 10th July 2010.

Established in 1993, the Beggars Fair provides music, dance and street entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Performers will include Acoustic Mary-Jane, Amy Jones Face Painting & Henna, Atlantico, Black Bart and many more.

Visit their website for more information on the performers and where they will be performing. The Cornmarket Main Stage, The Three Tuns, Latimer Walk, King John’s Garden and Silks Hotel – The White Horse are just a handful of the many venues.

They have also set up a great Facebook page where you can interact with the organisers and be kept up to date with the goings on of the event.

Romsey Town Carnival 2010

The sun is shining, our gorgeous office rose is in bloom and everyone is feeling full of life and enthusiasm!

Jessica from Romsey Town Carnival has just visited us to let us know all about the Carnival.

The Carnival takes place from the 24th – 31st July 2010. They do have a website, which is in the process of being updated, so do keep your eye on it. You can also find them on Twitter as @RomseyCarnival.

So far the line up includes:

Crowning of the Carnival Queen
Quiz Night
Grand Carnival Bingo
Tea Dance
Children’s Disco Night

If you live in the SO51 postal code and think you have got talent, then you could audition for ROMSEY’S Got Talent. Auditions will be held at the Comrades Club, and you will need to sign in by 7.15pm. Dates below:

Groups aged 11 to 25 – Wed June 23rd
Solo Performers aged 11 to 15 – Mon June 28th
Solo Performers aged 16 to 25 – Wed June 30th
